ABOUT US
Lace ‘Em Up NFP was founded in 2019 during Marco Eufrasio’s battle with testicular cancer. Facing a daunting diagnosis, three rounds of intensive chemotherapy, a young family, and a demanding career, Marco adopted a daily mantra - “Lace ‘Em Up and keep moving forward”.
That mindset became the foundation of Lace ‘Em Up NFP, an organization dedicated to raising awareness about testicular cancer and offering direct, personal support to those facing the disease.

Since its inception, Lace ‘Em Up has connected with and supported dozens of men across the Chicagoland area providing encouragement, resources, and a sense of community during one of life’s most challenging battles.

Testicular cancer is highly treatable when detected early. With prompt diagnosis, most men survive and go on to lead healthy, productive lives, including the ability to have children. Lace ‘Em Up exists to spread that life-saving message and create a supportive community to ensure no one fights alone.

I’m Marco Eufrasio, founder of Lace ‘Em Up NFP and testicular cancer survivor. In 2019, at 35 years old, I was diagnosed with stage IIb seminoma testicular cancer while my wife and I were raising our one-year-old twin boys. The diagnosis brought fear, uncertainty, and anger, but I was fortunate that my cancer was detected early. My treatment journey included surgery and three intense rounds of chemotherapy, and during that difficult season, the idea for Lace ‘Em Up NFP was born.

“Lace ‘Em Up” became more than just a phrase to me — it became a mindset. It’s a reminder to keep pushing forward through adversity and to take care of yourself by listening to your body and performing monthly self-exams. Through education, awareness, and support, my goal is to help young men and their families feel less alone and empower them with information that could truly save lives.

Lace 'Em Up NFP is dedicated to a 3 part approach to its
testicular cancer initiatives
AWARENESS
Through events like our annual golf outing and our shoelace campaigns we bring people together to raise funds, build awareness, and strengthen community support for those affected by testicular cancer.
EDUCATION
We partner with schools, colleges, and community organizations to deliver presentations and materials focused on early detection, self-exams, and breaking the stigma around men’s health.
Support
We provide direct financial assistance and vital resources to individuals undergoing treatment, helping ease the burden so they can focus on healing and recovery.
